NDIS

A device driver for the Windows Operating System that allows multiple network protocols to be used simultaneously with one adapter card. NDIS was developed by Microsoft and 3Com for use with Ethernet local area network (LAN) cards, but now NDIS is also used for many internal ISDN adapters, with the help of Microsoft's ISDN Accelerator Pack.
