Photo CD

Photo CD is a proprietary system developed by Kodak for storing photographic images from film onto CD-ROMs. People use the term Photo CD to refer to two distinct entities: the Orange Book CD-ROMs that contain pictures, and the graphics file format with the file extension .pcd that stores the data, which can also be found on magnetic disks--floppy or hard.
