RCA connectors

In the days before CD players, the Radio Corporation of America (RCA) developed RCA connectors to connect turntables to stereo systems. But with the advancement of audio-video technology, RCA connectors are now used mainly for carrying video and line-level audio on stereos, TVs, and VCRs. If you've ever connected your VCR to your TV, then you've probably seen one of these cables. They have a center contact (a pin or a hole) and an outer contact (a flower or a cylinder). Some very early versions of the Mac use RCA connectors to hook up to a TV.
